The crowd rose to their feet as Leon Brzakala kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Szczepan Grabski. That made the score 1-1 in the 40 minute of play. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Miroslaw Rosen was the one to do the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Norbert Gongola in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Szczepan Grabski saved Schalke 04 Siemianowice from getting behind. 56 minutes into the match, Schalke 04 Siemianowice's goal looked a bit too open when Norbert Gongola came free, but Szczepan Grabski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
