Konrad Zbydniowski started the match with the kick off. When Grzegorz Frankowski fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored LECH POZNAŃ's protests and gave Grzegorz Frankowski a yellow card for diving instead. Grzegorz Frankowski kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. Wincent Klawke received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Marek Jaroch tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jakub Oryniak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aureliusz Dombrowski having to interfere. In the 13th minute, Konrad Zbydniowski fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Konrad Zbydniowski in the 15th minute of play forced Ciemne's goalkeeper Aureliusz Dombrowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wincent Klawke received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Marek Jaroch tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Miroslaw Burowski fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ciemne's protests and gave Miroslaw Burowski a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Ciemne getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Miroslaw Burowski hit a great ball. Konstanty Ferfecki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marek Jaroch having to interfere. Marek Jaroch made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wincent Klawke in the 30th minute of play. Jakub Oryniak received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Aureliusz Dombrowski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of LECH POZNAŃ booed when Ciemne was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Olgierd Sowa didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 40 minutes, Konrad Zbydniowski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. LECH POZNAŃ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Konrad Zbydniowski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Konstanty Ferfecki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marek Jaroch having to interfere. Ciemne's Wincent Klawke got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marek Jaroch made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wincent Klawke in the 45th minute of play. Wincent Klawke sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Wincent Klawke made the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the game, Wasyl Kostrzewa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. LECH POZNAŃ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ciemne the free kick. After a rather tough play, LECH POZNAŃ's Wasyl Kostrzewa got a free kick in the 55th minute. Konrad Zbydniowski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aureliusz Dombrowski having to interfere. Ciemne's Konstanty Ferfecki got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marek Jaroch showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wincent Klawke, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. If Konstanty Ferfecki had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
