The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When Milosz Gollob came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Lech Poznań fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Milosz Gollob couldn't finish the play. Tadeusz Ziemba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Piotr Piatek, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Norbert Piekarczyk could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Florian Klawke made a huge save. With his leg Florian Klawke managed to avoid a goal in the 71stth minute, when Lech Poznań's Norbert Piekarczyk fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 73 minutes into the game, Piotr Piatek cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Tadeusz Ziemba was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Milosz Gollob recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Norbert Piekarczyk got free with Florian Klawke in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tadeusz Ziemba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Piotr Piatek in the 81st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Milosz Gollob in the 83rd minute of play forced Grazymy SA's goalkeeper Florian Klawke to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
