Lucjan Mitus came out of the goal and Witalis Hoffman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Norbert Andrzejewski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Norbert Andrzejewski came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Toplina fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Norbert Andrzejewski couldn't finish the play. Toplina's Lucjan Mitus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jurand Dzerwucki in the 43rd minute of play. Lucjan Mitus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eugeniusz Wawrukiewicz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half Wydartowo were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Wiktor Japola to strike the kick off in the second half. Jurand Dzerwucki recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jurand Dzerwucki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucjan Mitus having to interfere. Norbert Andrzejewski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
