In the 3rd match minute, Virtus Warszawa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Janusz Solak to maneuver through the defense. In the 4th minute Andrzej Seliga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Piotr Domarecki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 7 minutes into the match, Virtus Warszawa's goal looked a bit too open when Bartlomiej Merski came free, but Piotr Domarecki reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Olaf Gendolla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tadeusz Bara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bartlomiej Merski struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Piotr Domarecki didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lidzbark Warmiński Fire. An unexpectedly hard shot by Florian Waselewicz in the 15th minute of play forced Virtus Warszawa's goalkeeper Piotr Domarecki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Wawrzyniec Mosiniak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 21stth minute of the game Florian Waselewicz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Virtus Warszawa's Piotr Domarecki was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Lidzbark Warmiński Fire's Olaf Gendolla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tadeusz Bara in the 22nd minute of play. Tadeusz Bara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tadeusz Bara in the 31st minute of play forced Lidzbark Warmiński Fire's goalkeeper Olaf Gendolla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 32 minutes, Marian Byczewski mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lidzbark Warmiński Fire and the Virtus Warszawa players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 32 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Lidzbark Warmiński Fire! The goalkeeper, Olaf Gendolla, was totally fooled by Virtus Warszawa's Kazimierz Filanowski, who 34 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. If Tadeusz Bara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 41st minute, Czeslaw Fetor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Florian Waselewicz in the 42nd minute of play forced Virtus Warszawa's goalkeeper Piotr Domarecki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tadeusz Bara was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Tadeusz Bara made a precise shot to the right of Olaf Gendolla. Lidzbark Warmiński Fire's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Wawrzyniec Mosiniak's late challenge caught a Lidzbark Warmiński Fire's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Wawrzyniec Mosiniak helped the player get up and apologised. After 58 played minutes Virtus Warszawa got a freekick which was hit by Wawrzyniec Mosiniak. If Tadeusz Bara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Olaf Gendolla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wawrzyniec Mosiniak in the 62nd minute of play. Olaf Gendolla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tadeusz Bara, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Bartlomiej Merski's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Piotr Domarecki read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. Piotr Domarecki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Florian Waselewicz in the 67th minute of the match. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lidzbark Warmiński Fire's goalkeeper Olaf Gendolla, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Olaf Gendolla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tadeusz Bara, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. If Bartlomiej Merski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Florian Waselewicz in the 74th minute of play forced Virtus Warszawa's goalkeeper Piotr Domarecki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Olaf Gendolla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wawrzyniec Mosiniak in the 81st minute of the match. Bartlomiej Merski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Piotr Domarecki tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Florian Waselewicz in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Piotr Domarecki prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 91 minutes of play, Virtus Warszawa's Wawrzyniec Mosiniak made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Olaf Gendolla was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Wawrzyniec Mosiniak came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Virtus Warszawa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wawrzyniec Mosiniak couldn't finish the play.
