An unexpectedly hard shot by Czeslaw Gotfryd in the 2nd minute of play forced FC BYTOM's goalkeeper Tadeusz Gerlach to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 3rd minute Roch Michalski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tadeusz Gerlach saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Kuperki getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Igor Gurgul hit a great ball. Napoleon Gall showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Czeslaw Pilarczyk, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. If Witomir Pionek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of FC BYTOM booed when Kuperki was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tadeusz Rasiak didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bogumil Pyczkowski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Napoleon Gall having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bartlomiej Cuber during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 28th match minute, Kuperki was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bartlomiej Cuber to maneuver through the defense. Witomir Pionek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Napoleon Gall having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Piotr Smuskiewicz during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Kuperki's Roch Michalski got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Roch Michalski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Tadeusz Gerlach tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 45 minutes into the game, Gustaw Oryniak was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kuperki's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC BYTOM the free kick. In the 45th minute, Gustaw Oryniak hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Napoleon Gall made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bogumil Pyczkowski in the 55th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bogumil Pyczkowski in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Napoleon Gall prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 61 minutes, Bogumil Pyczkowski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC BYTOM's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bogumil Pyczkowski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 66 played minutes Kuperki got a freekick which was hit by Piotr Smuskiewicz. Piotr Smuskiewicz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tadeusz Gerlach having to interfere. Tadeusz Gerlach came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by Kuperki's Roch Michalski. But to his dismay, Roch Michalski quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC BYTOM's goalkeeper Tadeusz Gerlach, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 83 minutes into the game, Adam Jajesniak was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kuperki's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC BYTOM the free kick. In the 83rd minute, Adam Jajesniak hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Kuperki defense, Bogumil Pyczkowski kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Napoleon Gall. The Kuperki fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Napoleon Gall should have stopped the shot. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
