Wincenty Rutecki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stefan Oborski in the 5th minute of play. 7 minutes into the game, Robert Pilipiec was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gortatowice's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pogoria the free kick. In the 7th match minute, Gortatowice was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robert Pilipiec to maneuver through the defense. Marian Kon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Wincenty Rutecki tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Norbert Walczak took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Miromir Ziemniak. Miromir Ziemniak dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Damazy Faron received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Wincenty Rutecki tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pogoria's Miromir Ziemniak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Norbert Walczak in the 30th minute of play. Tadeusz Rakowski kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. In the 36th minute, Stefan Oborski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stefan Oborski in the 37th minute of play forced Gortatowice's goalkeeper Wincenty Rutecki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Roch Gruchacz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Miromir Ziemniak read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Pogoria's zone, Adam Rasiak stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Miromir Ziemniak came out of the goal and Adam Rasiak tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Roch Gruchacz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miromir Ziemniak having to interfere. In the 46th minute, Wawrzyniec Poling hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Norbert Walczak made a kick off. In the 52nd minute Marian Kon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wincenty Rutecki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Adam Rasiak's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 54thth minute, Miromir Ziemniak skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 56 played minutes Pogoria got a freekick which was hit by Damazy Faron. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Roch Gruchacz during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Gortatowice getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Roch Gruchacz hit a great ball. Wasyl Mielak was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 59 minutes into the match. 58 minutes into the game, one of Gortatowice:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Pogoria a penalty, 60 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Zbigniew Skrzypiec, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Gortatowice's Wincenty Rutecki. 2-1. When the match had gone on for 63 minutes, Adam Rasiak took a quick shot and it went in 2-2 without a chance for Miromir Ziemniak to make any attempt to save it. Wincenty Rutecki took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stefan Oborski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Pogoria booed when Gortatowice was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roch Gruchacz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wincenty Rutecki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stefan Oborski in the 77th minute of the match. Miromir Ziemniak was a little too slow when Leonard Czubski got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 79th minute. The score was now 2-3. Miromir Ziemniak made an important save on a dangerous shot by Adam Rasiak in the 85th minute. If Norbert Walczak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 93rd minute Stefan Oborski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wincenty Rutecki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wincenty Rutecki showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stefan Oborski, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Roch Gruchacz kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Wincenty Buczko took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 96th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Wincenty Rutecki. Gortatowice's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Norbert Walczak in the 97th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Miromir Ziemniak saved Pogoria from getting behind. Chants of Gortatowice echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Pogoria had held the ball for most of the match.
