After 4 minutes, Borys Solecki mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Widzew łódz and the Dinamo Kebab players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 5th minute, Borys Solecki hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Widzew łódz's Beniamin Bielejewski proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Widzew łódz from getting a goal against them. Waclaw Dubiel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leszek Tobaczewski having to interfere. If Boruc Bambas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Waclaw Dubiel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Leszek Tobaczewski was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game. After having played for 46 minutes, Boruc Bambas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Widzew łódz's supporters crossed their fingers, but Boruc Bambas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 48 played minutes Widzew łódz got a freekick which was hit by Igor Gierlach. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Waclaw Dubiel made the kick off in the second half. Leszek Tobaczewski stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kryspin Okropny's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. Boruc Bambas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 68th minute Waclaw Dubiel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leszek Tobaczewski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 68 played minutes Dinamo Kebab got a freekick which was hit by Wlodzimierz Rode. Filip Dropinski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Leszek Tobaczewski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Widzew łódz's Beniamin Bielejewski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Konstanty Gleba in the 75th minute of play. Beniamin Bielejewski had in the 77thth minute some difficulties stopping Sylwester Wieloch's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 77th minute, Sylwester Wieloch made a precise shot to the right of Beniamin Bielejewski. Widzew łódz's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Boruc Bambas succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-2 in the 84th playminute. The supporters of Dinamo Kebab booed when Widzew łódz was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernard Huratiak didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Boruc Bambas got free with Leszek Tobaczewski in the 100th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Dinamo Kebab fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Widzew łódz were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
