Alfred Banaszak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cyprian Markowski in the 4th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andrzej Modliszewski in the 9th minute of play forced Ruch Chorzów's goalkeeper Cyryl Kaczeniak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Andrzej Wolnik who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 13thth minute tested the skills of Alfred Banaszak when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Andrzej Wolnik received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Alfred Banaszak tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Waltershof's Alfred Banaszak proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Waltershof from getting a goal against them. Andrzej Wolnik sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Andrzej Wolnik who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 34thth minute tested the skills of Alfred Banaszak when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Andrzej Wolnik could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Alfred Banaszak made a huge save. If Cyprian Markowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Waltershof's Przemyslaw Tarka got a free kick in the 39th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Andrzej Wolnik got free with Alfred Banaszak in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cyprian Markowski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfred Banaszak having to interfere. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Wiktor Fiszer stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Cyprian Markowski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 56 minutes into the game, Damazy Bialakowski was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Waltershof's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ruch Chorzów the free kick. After 57 played minutes Waltershof got a freekick which was hit by Damazy Bialakowski. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andrzej Wolnik in the 59th minute of play forced Waltershof's goalkeeper Alfred Banaszak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 62 minutes, Zdzislaw Jarmulowicz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Waltershof and the Ruch Chorzów players grew even worse after the yellow card. Zdzislaw Jarmulowicz kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Wiktor Fiszer's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cyryl Kaczeniak read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Waltershof's Wiktor Fiszer slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Cyryl Kaczeniak. That made the score 0-1 after 67 minutes of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cyprian Markowski in the 71st minute of play forced Waltershof's goalkeeper Alfred Banaszak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wiktor Fiszer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cyryl Kaczeniak having to interfere. Boleslaw Brudzisz kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Wiktor Fiszer managed to get in a good position for a shot. Waltershof's supporters rose to their feet, but Wiktor Fiszer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cyryl Kaczeniak breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Andrzej Wolnik's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alfred Banaszak read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. Grzegorz Siwek kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Andrzej Wolnik's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alfred Banaszak was relentless in the 86th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Andrzej Wolnik in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alfred Banaszak prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Andrzej Modliszewski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Cyryl Kaczeniak tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cyprian Markowski recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 94 minutes into the match, Waltershof's goal looked a bit too open when Andrzej Wolnik came free, but Alfred Banaszak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Waltershof's Przemyslaw Tarka got a free kick in the 96th minute. Ruch Chorzów's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Witold Mierzwa in the 99th minute. The Ruch Chorzów supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Waltershof's performance. The match ended with a win for Waltershof.
