After some careless play in the GKS Tychy defense, Szymon Hajto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zdzislaw Lichorobiec. The GKS Tychy fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zdzislaw Lichorobiec should have stopped the shot. In the 14th minute Szymon Hajto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zdzislaw Lichorobiec saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wincent Brak kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. In the 17th minute Pankracy Topolski suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. 17 minutes into the game, Olaf Majdoch was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. GKS Tychy's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kotowa the free kick. After 18 played minutes GKS Tychy got a freekick which was hit by Olaf Majdoch. In the 19th minute of the match Witalis Golembiewski sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Zdzislaw Lichorobiec skillfully saved the ball. Witomir Literski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 25th minute, Olaf Majdoch hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind GKS Tychy's goalkeeper Zdzislaw Lichorobiec, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Witomir Literski struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Zdzislaw Lichorobiec didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kotowa. Witomir Literski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Zdzislaw Lichorobiec tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kazimierz Furgat recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Zdzislaw Lichorobiec took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Witomir Literski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Szymon Hajto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sylwester Miecznikowski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Zdzislaw Lichorobiec tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Witomir Literski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Witomir Literski stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kazimierz Furgat in the 53rd minute of play forced GKS Tychy's goalkeeper Zdzislaw Lichorobiec to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpected shot in the 54th minute by Witomir Literski got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. A collision led to GKS Tychy getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Olaf Majdoch hit a great ball. In the 63rd minute, Kotowa's Kazimierz Furgat dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. Szymon Hajto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Zdzislaw Lichorobiec tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Witomir Literski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A hard shot 73 in the game by Witomir Literski from a close distance when the talented Zdzislaw Lichorobiec managed to make a qualified save. GKS Tychy's players were relieved. In the 74th minute, Kazimierz Furgat got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Witomir Literski got free with Zdzislaw Lichorobiec in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Szymon Hajto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zdzislaw Lichorobiec having to interfere. 88 minutes into the match, Kotowa's Kazimierz Furgat sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Zdzislaw Lichorobiec narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With his leg Zdzislaw Lichorobiec managed to avoid a goal in the 91stth minute, when Kotowa's Witomir Literski fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Witomir Literski's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 95thth minute, Zdzislaw Lichorobiec skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 96th minute, one of GKS Tychy:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for GKS Tychy. Kotowa's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
