The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Swansea City A.F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Stalowa Wola the free kick. In the 17th minute, Tymoteusz Gondela hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kazimierz Szotek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jaroslaw Pstrongowski having to interfere. Adam Juchno struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Jaroslaw Pstrongowski didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Swansea City A.F.C.. Juliusz Daszkowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ziemowit Kazczyk in the 24th minute of the match. Konrad Laskowski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Juliusz Daszkowski made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adam Juchno in the 37th minute of play forced Stalowa Wola's goalkeeper Jaroslaw Pstrongowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 38 minutes into the game, Swansea City A.F.C.'s Kazimierz Szotek nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jaroslaw Pstrongowski made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 47th minute Adam Juchno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jaroslaw Pstrongowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half Swansea City A.F.C. were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Adam Juchno to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Stalowa Wola booed when Swansea City A.F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benedykt Gdowik didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Ziemowit Kazczyk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 63rd minute Konrad Laskowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juliusz Daszkowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 64 minutes, Jan Kolano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Stalowa Wola's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jan Kolano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Swansea City A.F.C. were awarded a corner in the 70th minute after Stalowa Wola's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Zula Barys took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Zula Barys got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jaroslaw Pstrongowski quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Swansea City A.F.C.'s Adam Juchno saw an opening behind the goalie Jaroslaw Pstrongowski in the 72ndth minute and tried to shoot past into the top right corner, but with great reflexes Jaroslaw Pstrongowski with one arm managed to save the shot in the last secound. Juliusz Daszkowski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Konrad Laskowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. 88 minutes into the game, Ziemowit Kazczyk was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Stalowa Wola's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Swansea City A.F.C. the free kick. Ziemowit Kazczyk hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. The Swansea City A.F.C. players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
