Jutrzenka Wrocław's Maciej Ostrowski got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Maciej Ostrowski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edward Bochinski having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Jutrzenka Wrocław's Rafal Zatorski got a free kick in the 16th minute. 31 minutes into the match, Jutrzenka Wrocław's goal looked a bit too open when Ryszard Poling came free, but Bernard Niedziela reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in KP Polonia Piła's zone, Eugeniusz Pieknik stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edward Bochinski came out of the goal and Eugeniusz Pieknik tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Barnaba Sobania had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. KP Polonia Piła's Waclaw Kolacki got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Maciej Ostrowski struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Edward Bochinski didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jutrzenka Wrocław. Eugeniusz Pieknik sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Jutrzenka Wrocław booed when KP Polonia Piła was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Waclaw Kolacki didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 47th minute Maciej Ostrowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edward Bochinski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

In the 68th minute, Ryszard Poling got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ryszard Poling in the 72nd minute of play forced Jutrzenka Wrocław's goalkeeper Bernard Niedziela to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 76 minutes into the match, KP Polonia Piła's Barnaba Sobania sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bernard Niedziela narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Barnaba Sobania sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Waclaw Kolacki recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Barnaba Sobania had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jutrzenka Wrocław's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
