Kuczki's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AC Milan the free kick. Stefan Kluska hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. After having played for 10 minutes, Ludomil Wykowski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kuczki's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ludomil Wykowski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Ludomil Wykowski's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ryszard Borcz was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. Tolek Drozdowski's late challenge caught a Kuczki's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tolek Drozdowski helped the player get up and apologised. Tolek Drozdowski hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. In the 17th minute, Eugeniusz Harasimowicz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 21 minutes into the game, Ludomil Wykowski cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Ryszard Borcz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 26th minute, AC Milan's Tolek Drozdowski ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ludomir Karp. Ludomir Karp yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. 30 minutes into the game, Kuczki's Ludomil Wykowski nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ryszard Borcz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. When Krzysztof Trzenzalski fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kuczki's protests and gave Krzysztof Trzenzalski a yellow card for diving instead. Andrzej Kapera sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Kuczki's zone, Gwidon Kajfasz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ludomir Karp came out of the goal and Gwidon Kajfasz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Ludomil Wykowski recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 65 minutes into the match, AC Milan's goal looked a bit too open when Ludomil Wykowski came free, but Ryszard Borcz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 70th minute, Jerzy Szostak ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ryszard Borcz was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Ludomir Karp made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andrzej Kapera in the 74th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ludomil Wykowski in the 76th minute of play forced AC Milan's goalkeeper Ryszard Borcz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Andrzej Kapera charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Andrzej Kapera the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Kuczki booed when AC Milan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andrzej Kapera didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jerzy Szostak received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Ryszard Borcz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jerzy Szostak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ryszard Borcz having to interfere. The AC Milan supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Kuczki's performance. The match ended with a win for Kuczki.
