The audience was convinced that Aras Orgunalp's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Andrzej Wawro was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. Paris Saint-Germain's Jerzy Rasimowicz got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pieszczaniki's goalkeeper Andrzej Wawro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 57 minutes Pieszczaniki's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Timoteo Briso who took care of the corner kick. Andrzej Wawro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lucjan Bryk's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. Florian Pincoski struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. When the referee ended the match the Paris Saint-Germain players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
