When Jan Wojton came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the CalciferTeam fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jan Wojton couldn't finish the play. Jerzy Wozniak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stasio Ptaszek having to interfere. In the 34th minute, Jerzy Wozniak got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Stasio Ptaszek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Witold Hendzel, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. If Witold Hendzel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 42nd minute, Jacek Rozanski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jerzy Wozniak received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Stasio Ptaszek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Borkowianka were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jerzy Wozniak stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Janusz Brack in the 56th minute of play forced CalciferTeam's goalkeeper Stasio Ptaszek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stasio Ptaszek made an important save on a dangerous shot by Witold Hendzel in the 57th minute. Stasio Ptaszek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jerzy Wozniak in the 59th minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves Witold Hendzel could shoot a difficult shot in the 60th minute, which Stasio Ptaszek however easily saved by the left post. 64 minutes into the game, Zbyszek Jarek was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. CalciferTeam's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Borkowianka the free kick. Jan Wojton came free in the 72nd minute and tried to tip the ball over Teofil Sienkowski, but to the joy of Borkowianka's supporters the ball hit the crossbar and out. After 73 played minutes Borkowianka got a freekick which was hit by Stanislaw Teofila. Bartlomiej Napierkowski's late challenge caught a Borkowianka's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bartlomiej Napierkowski helped the player get up and apologised. In the 76th minute, Bartlomiej Napierkowski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpected shot in the 83rd minute by Witold Hendzel got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Borkowianka's Teofil Sienkowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jan Wojton in the 87th minute of play. A collision led to CalciferTeam getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Teofil Jajko hit a great ball. Janusz Brack received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Stasio Ptaszek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 98 played minutes CalciferTeam got a freekick which was hit by Teofil Jajko. After 101 minutes CalciferTeam's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Radomir Dresik who took care of the corner kick. The Borkowianka supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Borkowianka would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
