Spectators: 7406 (Terracing: 5555, Seating: 1703, VIP seats: 148) ŁKS Łódź's Bogumil Chazen started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Bogumil Chazen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Wasyl Bulkiewicz having to make a save. Roman Huchro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wasyl Bulkiewicz having to interfere. Przemyslaw Ogrodowicz received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Radomil Rywin came out and tried to block the shot, but Przemyslaw Ogrodowicz slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 7th minute. Radomil Rywin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wasyl Kluska, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Through an outstanding action, after 13 minutes, Radomil Rywin successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Radomil Rywin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Radomir Fikus in the 14th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Wasyl Kluska during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Wasyl Kluska kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Wasyl Bulkiewicz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bogumil Chazen went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Miromir Tobaczewski recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 32nd minute of the match, Przemyslaw Ogrodowicz tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Radomil Rywin saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 36thth minute of the game Bogumil Chazen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Woijtowice's Wasyl Bulkiewicz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 37 minutes, Roman Huchro made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. Woijtowice's Wasyl Bulkiewicz tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 41 minutes, Jerzy Brzonkala managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ŁKS Łódź's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jerzy Brzonkala was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 42nd minute Bogumil Chazen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wasyl Bulkiewicz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bogumil Chazen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Wasyl Bulkiewicz having to make a save. If Roman Huchro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Woijtowice getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Robert Ochabski hit a great ball. After 48 minutes Woijtowice's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Antoni Klejnowski who took care of the corner kick. ŁKS Łódź's Zbyszko Skorny was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Wasyl Bulkiewicz in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After the first half ŁKS Łódź were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Przemyslaw Ogrodowicz to strike the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the game, Robert Ochabski was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Woijtowice's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ŁKS Łódź the free kick. The supporters of ŁKS Łódź booed when Woijtowice was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robert Ochabski didn't get a good kick on the ball. Roman Huchro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Wasyl Bulkiewicz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Roman Huchro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wasyl Bulkiewicz having to interfere. Woijtowice's Wasyl Bulkiewicz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bogumil Chazen in the 61st minute of play. Wasyl Bulkiewicz didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 64th minute, which inside left pole to 1-3. After a rather tough play, Woijtowice's Radomir Fikus got a free kick in the 67th minute. Roman Huchro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Stanislaw Bobrowski's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 72ndth minute, Wasyl Bulkiewicz skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. With a little luck, Woijtowice's Wasyl Bulkiewicz got control of the ball when Roman Huchro tried to sneak it across the goal line. 74 minutes into the game, Woijtowice's Miromir Tobaczewski nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Radomil Rywin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. Jerzy Brzonkala's late challenge caught a Woijtowice's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jerzy Brzonkala helped the player get up and apologised. Borys Kaczorowski was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 77th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Wasyl Bulkiewicz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bogumil Chazen in the 79th minute of the match. In the 81st minute ŁKS Łódź were awarded a corner. Antoni Klejnowski went to the cornerflag to take it. At last the ball reached Bogumil Chazen at the corner, ending with a kick to difficult to stop for the goalkeeper of Woijtowice. 2-4. In the 85th match minute, ŁKS Łódź was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roman Huchro to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of ŁKS Łódź booed when Woijtowice was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wasyl Kluska didn't get a good kick on the ball. 92 minutes had been played when some careless play by Woijtowice's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Antoni Klejnowski was slow to take the kick. During this time ŁKS Łódź's players had a chance to rest. The ŁKS Łódź supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing ŁKS Łódź would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
