Gandau's supporters rose to their feet, but Slawomir Jakubiak was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edmund Bobrowski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 21st minute Witalis Sadlowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Herbert Pawlak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 23 minutes, Herbert Pawlak successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After some careless play in the Gandau defense, Boguslaw Januszewski kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Herbert Pawlak. The Gandau fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Herbert Pawlak should have stopped the shot. When the match had gone on for 30 minutes, Szymon Barniszke put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Edmund Bobrowski. Szymon Barniszke struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Edmund Bobrowski didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gandau. Wisła Kraków's Edmund Bobrowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kajetan Gibowski in the 34th minute of play. Herbert Pawlak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juliusz Rutkowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. In the 38th minute Juliusz Rutkowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Herbert Pawlak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Herbert Pawlak made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lucjan Jaktorowo in the 40th minute. 42 minutes into the game, Gandau's Kajetan Gibowski nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Edmund Bobrowski made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. After the first half Gandau were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Szymon Barniszke stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Witalis Sadlowski's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Herbert Pawlak was relentless in the 51st minute of the game. In the 53rd minute, Juliusz Rutkowski left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Wisła Kraków fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. After a defensive mix-up in Gandau's zone, Lucjan Jaktorowo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Herbert Pawlak came out of the goal and Lucjan Jaktorowo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gandau's goalkeeper Herbert Pawlak, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Boguslaw Januszewski scored 3-2 in the 63rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Herbert Pawlak, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Kajetan Gibowski might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Edmund Bobrowski. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kajetan Gibowski ran back to his position shaking his head. Gandau made a substitution. Hieronim Mielak replaced Marek Kosmatka. Herbert Pawlak came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by Wisła Kraków's Juliusz Rutkowski. But to his dismay, Juliusz Rutkowski quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-2. Szymon Barniszke's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Edmund Bobrowski firmly grabbed it by the left post. 79 minutes into the match, Wisła Kraków's goalkeeper Edmund Bobrowski had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Szymon Barniszke. Szymon Barniszke could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Edmund Bobrowski made a huge save. The supporters of Gandau booed when Wisła Kraków was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucjan Jaktorowo didn't get a good kick on the ball. 85 minutes into the match, Wisła Kraków's goal looked a bit too open when Szymon Barniszke came free, but Edmund Bobrowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 88 played minutes Wisła Kraków got a freekick which was hit by Zbyszko Zworski. A collision led to Gandau getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Zdzislaw Kieca hit a great ball. Gandau's Szymon Barniszke got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 95 minutes, Lucjan Jaktorowo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Wisła Kraków and the Gandau players grew even worse after the yellow card. Lucjan Jaktorowo hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match.
