Spectators: 7079 (Terracing: 5454, Seating: 1600, VIP seats: 25) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Robert Piechna kicked off to start the match. Wincenty Ryback sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Piwosze Łódź's attack was well implemented in the 11th minute, but when Wincenty Ryback was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. After a defensive mix-up in Young Boys's zone, Witalis Jaks stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tolek Wierzbicki came out of the goal and Witalis Jaks tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wincenty Ryback in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tolek Wierzbicki saved Young Boys from getting behind. Robert Piechna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Lech Jurgiel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 35 minutes, Robert Piechna managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Young Boys's supporters crossed their fingers, but Robert Piechna was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Wiktor Pyrzyce received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Tolek Wierzbicki tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Witalis Jaks recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Wincenty Ryback received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Tolek Wierzbicki tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Wincenty Ryback stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 0-3 came through a penalty shot after 52 played minutes, when Piwosze Łódź:s Kacper Kalinowski calmly waited for Young Boys:s goalkeeper to move before he rolled in the ball by the right post. 55 minutes into the game, Witold Kilar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Piwosze Łódź's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Young Boys the free kick. In the 55th minute, Witold Kilar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 60th minute, Wiktor Pyrzyce fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Tolek Wierzbicki stood somewhat misplaced when Wincenty Ryback came free in front of goal and shot 0-4 to the left of him in the 64 minute. When Wiktor Pyrzyce came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Piwosze Łódź fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wiktor Pyrzyce couldn't finish the play. A hard shot 69 in the game by Wincenty Ryback from a close distance when the talented Tolek Wierzbicki managed to make a qualified save. Young Boys's players were relieved. The supporters of Piwosze Łódź booed when Young Boys was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robert Piechna didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leonard Kociniewski charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leonard Kociniewski the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Leonard Kociniewski hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. In the 78th minute of the match Witold Kilar shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tolek Wierzbicki showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Wiktor Pyrzyce fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tolek Wierzbicki having to interfere. Tolek Wierzbicki acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 84th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Wlodzimierz Cwynar. Wiktor Pyrzyce received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Tolek Wierzbicki tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 89 played minutes Piwosze Łódź got a freekick which was hit by Witold Kilar. 97 minutes into the match, Young Boys's goal looked a bit too open when Wincenty Ryback came free, but Tolek Wierzbicki reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Piwosze Łódź eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
