After 3 minutes, Dawid Sakowicz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the OVB Ostrów Wielkopolski and the SP PSP BYDGOSZCZ players grew even worse after the yellow card. Leszek Podolski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karol Gomolka having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Leszek Podolski managed to get in a good position for a shot. SP PSP BYDGOSZCZ's supporters rose to their feet, but Leszek Podolski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Karol Gomolka breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Milosz Frenzel made a kick off. SP PSP BYDGOSZCZ's Jacek Zima played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Milosz Frenzel in the 96th minute of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched OVB Ostrów Wielkopolski eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
