In the 9th match minute, Chelsea was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Barnaba Boruta to maneuver through the defense. Chelsea's Wawrzyniec Basaik played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariusz Rydzyk in the 10th minute of play. Maksymilian Szarmach made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jerzy Wicherek in the 12th minute of play. If Ludomir Moryl had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kajetan Badanowski blasted a shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Wawrzyniec Basaik having to make a save. Kajetan Badanowski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wawrzyniec Basaik having to interfere. The Chelsea fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wawrzyniec Basaik should have stopped the shot. Maksymilian Szarmach made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Barnaba Haskiewicz in the 42nd minute of play. In the 44thth minute of the game Jerzy Wicherek who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Baranki United's Maksymilian Szarmach was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
