Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jaroslaw Prokowski started the match with the kick off. Janusz Madajczyk kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. Ryszard Rasimowicz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rafal Oryl having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jaroslaw Prokowski in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rafal Oryl saved Grondzken from getting behind. Lucjan Oborski might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Slawomir Dzierwa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lucjan Oborski ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 18 minutes, Wlodzimierz Charamut managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Grondzken's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wlodzimierz Charamut was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 20 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Górnik Zabrze! With a little luck, Górnik Zabrze's Slawomir Dzierwa got control of the ball when Emil Erland tried to sneak it across the goal line. Grondzken's Rafal Oryl played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ryszard Rasimowicz in the 26th minute of play. Lucjan Oborski got in the 30th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Slawomir Dzierwa handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Emil Erland got free with Slawomir Dzierwa in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 38th minute Lucjan Oborski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Slawomir Dzierwa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 40 minutes into the match, Górnik Zabrze's goal looked a bit too open when Lucjan Oborski came free, but Slawomir Dzierwa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Slawomir Dzierwa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucjan Oborski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 44th minute of the game. One of Górnik Zabrze:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Grondzken:s goal. When the match had been going on for 46 minutes, Grondzken's Grzegorz Awizo got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Slawomir Dzierwa. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lucjan Oborski made a kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Górnik Zabrze's goal looked a bit too open when Lucjan Oborski came free, but Slawomir Dzierwa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 59th minute Lucjan Oborski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Slawomir Dzierwa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Slawomir Dzierwa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucjan Oborski, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Emil Erland fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Slawomir Dzierwa having to interfere. When the match clock showed 65 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Emil Erland sped through Górnik Zabrze's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Slawomir Dzierwa. 70 minutes into the match, Emil Erland notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Górnik Zabrze's Slawomir Dzierwa. Slawomir Dzierwa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Emil Erland sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a rather tough play, Górnik Zabrze's Leonard Debowski got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Emil Erland kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. After 87 minutes, Mateusz Sidor mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Grondzken and the Górnik Zabrze players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Grondzken getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Mateusz Sidor hit a great ball. Rafal Oryl was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Wlodzimierz Piczak. In the 91stth minute of the game Lucjan Oborski who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Górnik Zabrze's Slawomir Dzierwa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Emil Erland had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
