Spectators: 6547 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1400, VIP seats: 147) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Czeslaw Kempka made the kick off which started today's match. The long shot by Lukasz Bentkowski in the 5th minute really tested Edward Bienienda's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Barnaba Wiatrak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Czeslaw Kempka, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Edward Ziemniak kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Grzegorz Kiewra in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edward Bienienda prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Edward Bienienda made an important save on a dangerous shot by Borys Podowski in the 17th minute. Olgierd Ledochowski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Grzegorz Kiewra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Czeslaw Kempka recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Czeslaw Kempka managed to get in a good position for a shot. Petrochemia Płock's supporters rose to their feet, but Czeslaw Kempka was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Barnaba Wiatrak breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Czeslaw Kempka sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Young Boys's Grzegorz Kiewra got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 38 played minutes Petrochemia Płock got a freekick which was hit by Aureliusz Dombroski. After a defensive mix-up in Petrochemia Płock's zone, Grzegorz Kiewra stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edward Bienienda came out of the goal and Grzegorz Kiewra tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Wit Gamza hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Borys Cieslak missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 45 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Edward Bienienda right hand side. Edward Bienienda was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Grzegorz Kiewra showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 48 minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Grzegorz Kiewra made a kick off. In the 60th minute of the match Lukasz Bentkowski sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Edward Bienienda skillfully saved the ball. 61 minutes into the game, Cezary Golob was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Petrochemia Płock's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Young Boys the free kick. Young Boys's Barnaba Wiatrak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Czeslaw Kempka in the 64th minute of play. Grzegorz Kiewra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edward Bienienda having to interfere. Witold Bielejewski might have been able to make a better finish in the 70th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Edward Bienienda. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Witold Bielejewski ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 78 minutes, Grzegorz Kiewra managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Young Boys's supporters crossed their fingers, but Grzegorz Kiewra was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Grzegorz Kiewra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edward Bienienda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Grzegorz Kiewra in the 89th minute of play. In the 93rd match minute, Petrochemia Płock was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olgierd Starogardzki to maneuver through the defense. In the 98th minute, Edward Ziemniak got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Young Boys were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
