Spectators: 7253 (Terracing: 5441, Seating: 1668, VIP seats: 144) Roch Poling made the kick off and thus started the match. 4 minutes into the match, GKS Katowice's goalkeeper Witalis Furtok had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gustaw Bochinski. The supporters of FC Bydgoszcz booed when GKS Katowice was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomasz Jaruzelski didn't get a good kick on the ball. Szymon Cieslak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wasyl Fudalej having to interfere. Wawrzyniec Kuszczak received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Wasyl Fudalej tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wasyl Fudalej came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by GKS Katowice's Szymon Cieslak. But to his dismay, Szymon Cieslak quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 26 minutes into the game, GKS Katowice's Wawrzyniec Kuszczak nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wasyl Fudalej made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. With a little luck, GKS Katowice's Witalis Furtok got control of the ball when Gustaw Bochinski tried to sneak it across the goal line. Roch Poling fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Witalis Furtok having to interfere. In the 46th match minute, FC Bydgoszcz was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edgar Skrzypiec to maneuver through the defense. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Szymon Cieslak to strike the kick off in the second half. Edgar Popowicz's late challenge caught a GKS Katowice's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edgar Popowicz helped the player get up and apologised. In the 54th minute, Edgar Popowicz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Adam Rybak, 55 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Adam Rybak hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. In the 62nd minute there was a penalty for FC Bydgoszcz. Czeslaw Bielatowicz stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Witalis Furtok. 1-2. 65 minutes into the match, GKS Katowice's Szymon Cieslak sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Wasyl Fudalej narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 67 minutes of play FC Bydgoszcz's Edgar Popowicz was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 68th match minute, FC Bydgoszcz was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edgar Popowicz to maneuver through the defense. The long shot by Adam Rybak in the 69th minute really tested Wasyl Fudalej's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. FC Bydgoszcz's Gustaw Bochinski got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of GKS Katowice booed when FC Bydgoszcz was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kryspin Zapolski didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gustaw Bochinski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Witalis Furtok having to interfere. If Mikolaj Badanowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 87th minute, Edgar Skrzypiec made a precise shot to the right of Witalis Furtok. GKS Katowice's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. In the 95th minute, Wawrzyniec Kuszczak ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Wasyl Fudalej was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-4. With his leg Wasyl Fudalej managed to avoid a goal in the 98thth minute, when GKS Katowice's Wawrzyniec Kuszczak fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 100th minute, Szymon Cieslak fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Wasyl Fudalej, passed just outside the right post. In the 103rd minute Szymon Cieslak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wasyl Fudalej saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The GKS Katowice players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
