Jerzy Zabrzeski started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ziemowit Rakowski in the 3rd minute of play forced KS Unia Brzeszcze's goalkeeper Wawrzyniec Plucinik to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Jerzy Zabrzeski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 6thth minute of the game Ziemowit Rakowski who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but KS Unia Brzeszcze's Wawrzyniec Plucinik was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Artur Ziomkowski took the ball and in the 8 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Wawrzyniec Plucinik. Wawrzyniec Plucinik dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Gwidon Motowski's late challenge caught a KS Unia Brzeszcze's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gwidon Motowski helped the player get up and apologised. Gwidon Motowski hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. 22 minutes into the match, Kurzno SA's goal looked a bit too open when Jerzy Zabrzeski came free, but Pawel Nalaskowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 24 minutes into the game, Kazimierz Jaszcz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Wawrzyniec Plucinik was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 29th minute, Tolek Bilicki hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tadeusz Jaroszewicz's late challenge caught a KS Unia Brzeszcze's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tadeusz Jaroszewicz helped the player get up and apologised. Pawel Nalaskowski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jerzy Zabrzeski, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. After having played for 45 minutes, Jerzy Zabrzeski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. KS Unia Brzeszcze's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jerzy Zabrzeski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

With 52 minutes on the clock, Bernard Wiater commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 51 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for KS Unia Brzeszcze! If Ziemowit Rakowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Kurzno SA booed when KS Unia Brzeszcze was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roman Franzik didn't get a good kick on the ball. KS Unia Brzeszcze's Wawrzyniec Plucinik proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save KS Unia Brzeszcze from getting a goal against them. Artur Ziomkowski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wawrzyniec Plucinik having to interfere. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Kurzno SA walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
