Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 23 minutes into the game, Wincent Rykaczewski cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Artur Brzeszczak was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Grzegorz Podolski scored 0-2 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Artur Brzeszczak, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. BurDury's Artur Brzeszczak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wincent Rykaczewski in the 32nd minute of play. After having played for 34 minutes, Aleksander Kazimierz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. BurDury's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aleksander Kazimierz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Aleksander Kazimierz was the one to do the kick off. Artur Brzeszczak made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Wincent Rykaczewski sent off a good shot on target. Wincent Rykaczewski struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Artur Brzeszczak didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for F.C Gotha. An unexpectedly hard shot by Grzegorz Podolski in the 66th minute of play forced BurDury's goalkeeper Artur Brzeszczak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wincent Rykaczewski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Artur Brzeszczak having to interfere. Patryk Zdeb was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 71st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Roch Chludzinski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tolek Lemiesz in the 76th minute of the match.
