The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eulalio Jerold in the 3rd minute of play forced Jantar FC's goalkeeper Napoleon Banan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zdzislaw Mnich kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. In the 12th minute Eulalio Jerold shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Napoleon Banan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bartosz Kasiewski's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Napoleon Banan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. In the 23rd match minute, Ruch Chorzów was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Boguslaw Wejta to maneuver through the defense. 24 minutes into the game, Mariusz Fudalej was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Jantar FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ruch Chorzów the free kick. Mariusz Fudalej hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Jantar FC's Napoleon Banan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bartosz Kasiewski in the 26th minute of play. In the 31st match minute, Jantar FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wit Rojewski to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eulalio Jerold in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Napoleon Banan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 44 played minutes Ruch Chorzów got a freekick which was hit by Cyprian Sroki. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eulalio Jerold stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Bartosz Kasiewski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match clock showed 56 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Eulalio Jerold sped through Jantar FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Napoleon Banan. With an all-out effort, Ruch Chorzów's Napoleon Banan threw himself towards the right post 60 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Eulalio Jerold, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Zdzislaw Mnich fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Napoleon Banan having to interfere. After 68 minutes, Marcin Turak mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ruch Chorzów and the Jantar FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Santo Astigar made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. When the match was over Ruch Chorzów could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Jantar FC throughout the match.
