Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wlodzimierz Hajder in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Izydor Adamus prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Izydor Adamus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Janusz Majerowicz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 43 minutes in the game, Janusz Majerowicz fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Izydor Adamus having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Iskra Sosnowiec's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Janusz Majerowicz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0.
