Real Madryt's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tomasz Gondek was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Tomasz Gondek recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 18th minute, Karol Petka hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. FC Wyspa Elbląg's Tomasz Gondek got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lucjan Perkowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomasz Gondek in the 21st minute of the match. When FC Wyspa Elbląg's Wladyslaw Cerocki in the 23rd minute got a chance for a shot 23rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Real Madryt's goalie prevented a goal. After a defensive mix-up in FC Wyspa Elbląg's zone, Antoni Skikiewicz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roch Klocko came out of the goal and Antoni Skikiewicz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Boguslaw Patrylo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roch Klocko having to interfere. Wladyslaw Cerocki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucjan Perkowski having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Tomasz Gondek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomasz Gondek in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lucjan Perkowski saved Real Madryt from getting behind. Wladyslaw Cerocki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucjan Perkowski having to interfere. Karol Petka hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Tomasz Gondek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match clock showed 70 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Wladyslaw Cerocki sped through Real Madryt's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Lucjan Perkowski. Boguslaw Patrylo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roch Klocko having to interfere. In the 86th minute, FC Wyspa Elbląg's Wladyslaw Cerocki ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Lucjan Perkowski. Zbyszek Milan's late challenge caught a FC Wyspa Elbląg's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zbyszek Milan helped the player get up and apologised. In the 93rd minute, one of Real Madryt:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Real Madryt. When the match had been going on for 95 minutes, FC Wyspa Elbląg's Witalis Jajesniak got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Lucjan Perkowski. The FC Wyspa Elbląg supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing FC Wyspa Elbląg would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
