Janusz Seliga who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 8thth minute tested the skills of Tolek Zacharek when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The supporters of GKS booed when Tartatico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mateusz Niemoj didn't get a good kick on the ball. Herbert Rybak charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Herbert Rybak the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 10th minute, Herbert Rybak hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 15th minute, GKS's Julian Giejda ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Tolek Zacharek. Tolek Zacharek yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. In the 20th minute, Marek Naskrent got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mieszko Chrzan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marek Naskrent, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Janusz Seliga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Tolek Zacharek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tolek Zacharek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Giejda, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. In the 29th minute, Julian Giejda fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Tolek Zacharek, passed just outside the right post. Tolek Zacharek stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Julian Giejda's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Tartatico's zone, Janusz Seliga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tolek Zacharek came out of the goal and Janusz Seliga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tolek Zacharek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Janusz Seliga, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. 78 minutes into the match, Janusz Seliga had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tolek Zacharek. Tartatico's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Janusz Seliga was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. GKS fully deserved thier win.
