In the 21st minute, Wladyslaw Dziechciowski sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and EAST THORN's Wiktor Gurgul didn't even have to move. In the 24th minute, Olaf Koczara left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The supporters of kurczaczki z rożna booed when EAST THORN was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maksymilian Zyskowski didn't get a good kick on the ball. EAST THORN's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Olaf Koczara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Wiktor Gurgul tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Janusz Ciborek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 42nd minute, Gwidon Golob hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Wlodzimierz Jurgiel to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, EAST THORN's Bogdan Brysz got a free kick in the 57th minute. Wiktor Gurgul showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Olaf Koczara in the 60th minute of the match.
