Lech Radzyminski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Witold Dzierwa having to interfere. Lech Radzyminski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Stefan Duda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Gwidon Resel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wasyl Ostrowski in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gwidon Resel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Witold Dzierwa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lech Radzyminski in the 45th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Stefan Duda stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Stefan Duda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
