Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Miromir Czerny started the match with the kick off. In the 8th minute, GieKSa Bełchatów's Miromir Czerny ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Zygmunt Skonieczny. Zygmunt Skonieczny yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafal Basinski in the 13th minute of play forced Górnik Wesoła's goalkeeper Zygmunt Skonieczny to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zdzislaw Duda was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 17th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After 18 played minutes GieKSa Bełchatów got a freekick which was hit by Marcin Lerych. The audience thought a goal was coming when Janusz Bobrowski got free with Zygmunt Skonieczny in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Janusz Bobrowski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zygmunt Skonieczny having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Janusz Bobrowski managed to get in a good position for a shot. GieKSa Bełchatów's supporters rose to their feet, but Janusz Bobrowski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zygmunt Skonieczny breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Miromir Czerny struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Zygmunt Skonieczny didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for GieKSa Bełchatów. Janusz Bobrowski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Janusz Bobrowski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zygmunt Skonieczny having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gustaw Lampe stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jedrzej Czech took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 56th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Zygmunt Skonieczny. Górnik Wesoła's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. GieKSa Bełchatów's Piotr Wiatrak proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save GieKSa Bełchatów from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Górnik Wesoła booed when GieKSa Bełchatów was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Boguslaw Makarewicz didn't get a good kick on the ball. GieKSa Bełchatów's Piotr Wiatrak proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save GieKSa Bełchatów from getting a goal against them. Górnik Wesoła's Zygmunt Skonieczny played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miromir Czerny in the 65th minute of play. Janusz Bobrowski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zygmunt Skonieczny came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by GieKSa Bełchatów's Miromir Czerny. But to his dismay, Miromir Czerny quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. If Miromir Czerny had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Janusz Bobrowski might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Zygmunt Skonieczny. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Janusz Bobrowski ran back to his position shaking his head. Górnik Wesoła's Szczepan Basaik got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. There was no doubt that GieKSa Bełchatów were the better team. GieKSa Bełchatów's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
