Iwo Rydzyk's late challenge caught a GKS Ruch Radzionkow's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Wiktor Biraga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stasio Borczak in the 9th minute of the match. Krzysztof Szpakowski recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Krzysztof Szpakowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zygmunt Figlewski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A very good chance. 24 minutes into the match, Rokitnica's goal looked a bit too open when Zygmunt Figlewski came free, but Ryszard Dyczkowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wiktor Biraga made an important save on a dangerous shot by Krzysztof Szpakowski in the 26th minute. Zygmunt Figlewski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ryszard Dyczkowski having to interfere. After 31 minutes of play, GKS Ruch Radzionkow's Zygmunt Figlewski made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ryszard Dyczkowski was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some careless play in the Rokitnica defense, Antoni Wawrukiewicz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ryszard Dyczkowski. The Rokitnica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ryszard Dyczkowski should have stopped the shot. Wiktor Biraga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stasio Borczak in the 38th minute of play. Stasio Borczak received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Wiktor Biraga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Krzysztof Szpakowski who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 42ndth minute tested the skills of Wiktor Biraga when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Stasio Borczak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wiktor Biraga having to interfere. 45 minutes into the match, GKS Ruch Radzionkow's goalkeeper Wiktor Biraga had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Krzysztof Szpakowski. In the 48th minute, Iwo Rydzyk hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Antoni Wawrukiewicz was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 53 minutes, Szczepan Tyszka managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rokitnica's supporters crossed their fingers, but Szczepan Tyszka was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cezary Balonek received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Wiktor Biraga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wiktor Biraga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Krzysztof Szpakowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Krzysztof Szpakowski came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Rokitnica fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Krzysztof Szpakowski couldn't finish the play. Krzysztof Szpakowski struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Wiktor Biraga didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rokitnica. 67 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Rokitnica's Krzysztof Szpakowski fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Ryszard Dyczkowski made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Zygmunt Figlewski sent off a good shot on target. Wiktor Biraga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Krzysztof Szpakowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 78 minutes into the game, Krzysztof Szpakowski cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Wiktor Biraga was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Krzysztof Szpakowski in the 82nd minute of play forced GKS Ruch Radzionkow's goalkeeper Wiktor Biraga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 85th minute, Krzysztof Szpakowski made a precise shot to the right of Wiktor Biraga. GKS Ruch Radzionkow's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. In the 90th minute, Krzysztof Szpakowski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. GKS Ruch Radzionkow's Wiktor Biraga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Krzysztof Szpakowski in the 93rd minute of play. In the 95th minute Krzysztof Szpakowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wiktor Biraga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Hieronim Sakowicz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Although Rokitnica had been in control for most of the match, GKS Ruch Radzionkow still came away with the win.
