With 17 minutes on the clock, Boguslaw Starogardzki commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 17 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Mariusz Sopot! An unexpectedly hard shot by Cezary Czermak in the 23rd minute of play forced Mariusz Sopot's goalkeeper Miromir Chazen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Tadeusz Kornaszewski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tadeusz Kornaszewski blasted a shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gilbert Fleszar having to make a save. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Wladyslaw Basaik was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Wisla Płock's Jurand Klocko got a free kick in the 53rd minute. In the 54th minute, Remigiusz Bochinski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gilbert Fleszar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tadeusz Kornaszewski in the 56th minute of the match. In the 57th minute Wladyslaw Basaik shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miromir Chazen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Mariusz Sopot fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. After 72 minutes, Wincent Mnich mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mariusz Sopot and the Wisla Płock players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Mariusz Sopot getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Wincent Mnich hit a great ball. Miromir Chazen made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Cezary Czermak sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Remigiusz Bochinski managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mariusz Sopot's supporters rose to their feet, but Remigiusz Bochinski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gilbert Fleszar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Wincent Mnich struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Gilbert Fleszar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mariusz Sopot. After having played for 84 minutes, Wincent Mnich managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mariusz Sopot's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wincent Mnich was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 87 minutes into the match, Cezary Czermak notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Mariusz Sopot's Miromir Chazen. Miromir Chazen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Remigiusz Bochinski came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Mariusz Sopot fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Remigiusz Bochinski couldn't finish the play. Gilbert Fleszar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Remigiusz Bochinski in the 93rd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wincent Mnich in the 96th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gilbert Fleszar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Wisla Płock were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Mariusz Sopot's much stronger midfield.
