In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind Brnik SA's goalkeeper Maciej Boruta, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 40th match minute, Brnik SA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ulryk Jajecznica to maneuver through the defense. Brnik SA's Maciej Boruta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arkadiusz Wojtowicz in the 41st minute of play. Leszek Pozorski recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Leszek Pozorski came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Brnik SA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leszek Pozorski couldn't finish the play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marcin Haskiewicz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Florian Piwowarski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcin Haskiewicz, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Brnik SA's Maciej Boruta proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Brnik SA from getting a goal against them. The FC Czekanka fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Florian Piwowarski should have stopped the shot. Brnik SA's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
