Spectators: 7293 (Terracing: 5472, Seating: 1677, VIP seats: 144) Czeslaw Jajecznica started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Zenon Ziomkowski stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Czeslaw Jajecznica's shot from short distance in the 5th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Lucjan Boruta managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Tigers's supporters rose to their feet, but Lucjan Boruta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leszek Felenak breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Tarnawskie getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Izydor Bejrut hit a great ball. FC Tigers's Ksawery Sliwinski couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 13th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Tarnawskie. When Emil Jestrimski fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tarnawskie's protests and gave Emil Jestrimski a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of FC Tigers booed when Tarnawskie was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emil Jestrimski didn't get a good kick on the ball. 26 minutes into the match, FC Tigers's Wasyl Borczak sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Leszek Felenak narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 31 minutes into the match, Tarnawskie's goal looked a bit too open when Alfred Dula came free, but Leszek Felenak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wasyl Borczak got free with Leszek Felenak in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tolek Bucyki in the 38th minute of play forced FC Tigers's goalkeeper Zenon Ziomkowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Tarnawskie's Leszek Felenak got control of the ball when Wasyl Borczak tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 47 played minutes Tarnawskie got a freekick which was hit by Bernard Bobrowski. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lucjan Boruta stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ksawery Sliwinski took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 53rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Leszek Felenak. Tarnawskie's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wasyl Borczak in the 54th minute of play forced Tarnawskie's goalkeeper Leszek Felenak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leszek Felenak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wasyl Borczak in the 56th minute of play. Alfred Dula hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Zenon Ziomkowski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tolek Bucyki in the 60th minute. In the 62nd minute Lucjan Boruta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leszek Felenak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC Tigers's Zenon Ziomkowski proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save FC Tigers from getting a goal against them. After 64 played minutes Czeslaw Jajecznica rounded FC Tigers's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-1. Czeslaw Jajecznica struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Zenon Ziomkowski didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tarnawskie. Tarnawskie's Tolek Bucyki got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Wasyl Borczak sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wasyl Borczak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leszek Felenak having to interfere. In the 82nd minute, Wasyl Matuch hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in FC Tigers's zone, Emil Jestrimski stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zenon Ziomkowski came out of the goal and Emil Jestrimski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. FC Tigers's Zenon Ziomkowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Czeslaw Jajecznica in the 97th minute of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Tarnawskie eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
