The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Czeslaw Narbut showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teofil Cetnar, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Czeslaw Narbut made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teofil Cetnar in the 11th minute of play. Tadeusz Sakowicz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Teofil Cetnar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Czeslaw Narbut tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to BandaGamrat getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Miroslaw Bierfass hit a great ball. Tadeusz Sakowicz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Czeslaw Narbut made a huge save. Klement Skaradowski blasted a shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Iwo Sliwinski having to make a save. Tadeusz Sakowicz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 36th minute, Teofil Cetnar fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Czeslaw Narbut showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roch Bentkowski in the 40th minute of the match. Iwo Sliwinski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Norbert Turek, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Norbert Turek was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute Tadeusz Sakowicz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Czeslaw Narbut saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jan Czekaj kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Teofil Cetnar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Czeslaw Narbut made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tadeusz Sakowicz in the 66th minute of play. In the 68th minute, Ryszard Huchro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tadeusz Sakowicz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When BandaGamrat's Teofil Cetnar in the 75th minute got a chance for a shot 75th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. If Tadeusz Sakowicz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 93 minutes, Kazimierz Labus managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. BandaGamrat's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kazimierz Labus was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. BandaGamrat's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
