But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hugon Kornasiewicz couldn't finish the play. In the 10th minute Edmund Niedbalski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bartosz Rakiewicz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in ZKS Stal Sanok's zone, Fryderyk Bochinski stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wlodzimierz Dzerwucki came out of the goal and Fryderyk Bochinski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Andrzej Rasiak managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Crispy Fried Chicken's supporters rose to their feet, but Andrzej Rasiak was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wlodzimierz Dzerwucki breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The attack was good, but when Andrzej Rasiak in the 18th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. In the 19th minute Andrzej Rasiak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wlodzimierz Dzerwucki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Andrzej Rasiak might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Wlodzimierz Dzerwucki. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Andrzej Rasiak ran back to his position shaking his head. FC Crispy Fried Chicken's Kajetan Mockiewicz got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 34 played minutes ZKS Stal Sanok got a freekick which was hit by Dominik Marciewicz. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dominik Marciewicz during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Bartosz Rakiewicz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmund Niedbalski in the 48th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

FC Crispy Fried Chicken played a much better game than ZKS Stal Sanok and deserved their victory. The ZKS Stal Sanok players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
