The referee ignored Ludwigshagen's protests and gave Dobromir Kluska a yellow card for diving instead. The corner led Pompey PL's Lucjan Gizynski to fire away a dangerous shot which Roman Ruzicki despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Korneliusz Czeberowski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roman Ruzicki having to interfere. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Ludwigshagen eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
