The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute, Tanek Damaski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 5 minutes into the match, Legia Warszawa's goal looked a bit too open when Wladyslaw Wyrostek came free, but Feliks Kiepski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Wladyslaw Wyrostek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Legia Warszawa getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Milosz Golota hit a great ball. Tanek Damaski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Feliks Kiepski having to interfere. Pastwa's Wladyslaw Wyrostek got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Legia Warszawa's Bogumil Charlos got a free kick in the 21st minute. Feliks Kiepski didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Wladyslaw Wyrostek went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Through an outstanding action, after 26 minutes, Ludomil Lech successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 30th minute Bogumil Charlos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ludomil Lech saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dariusz Barys received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Ludomil Lech tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Feliks Kiepski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tanek Damaski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tanek Damaski made a kick off. Wladyslaw Wyrostek in the 54thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Feliks Kiepski, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When Dariusz Barys came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Legia Warszawa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dariusz Barys couldn't finish the play. Dariusz Barys struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Ludomil Lech didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Legia Warszawa. Pastwa's Ludomil Lech played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bogumil Charlos in the 69th minute of play. 72 minutes into the match, Pastwa's goal looked a bit too open when Dariusz Barys came free, but Ludomil Lech reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Tanek Damaski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wladyslaw Wyrostek got free with Feliks Kiepski in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 91st minute Dariusz Barys shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ludomil Lech saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Legia Warszawa supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Pastwa's performance. The match ended with a win for Pastwa.
