Dominik Damaski succeeded in the game's 3rd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. Ks Skarpa Nowa Huta's Karol Frankowski got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 9 minutes into the game, Bartlomiej Wydrych was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Stoliczne Wilki's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ks Skarpa Nowa Huta the free kick. Bartlomiej Wydrych kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. 10 minutes into the match, Stoliczne Wilki's goal looked a bit too open when Jacek Grondzki came free, but Mariusz Smolarek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 18th minute, Bartlomiej Wydrych reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Kazimierz Mochadlo. The goal made the score 1-1. Dariusz Ruszkowski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Dariusz Ruszkowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Stoliczne Wilki's Walery Luty pulled a muscle in his back after 25 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Zbyszek Ogrodowicz fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ks Skarpa Nowa Huta's protests and gave Zbyszek Ogrodowicz a yellow card for diving instead. Zbyszek Ogrodowicz kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. If Franciszek Marud had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 37th minute Jacek Grondzki shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mariusz Smolarek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Waclaw Banach came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Ks Skarpa Nowa Huta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Waclaw Banach couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Jacek Grondzki managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ks Skarpa Nowa Huta's supporters rose to their feet, but Jacek Grondzki was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mariusz Smolarek breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mariusz Smolarek came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by Ks Skarpa Nowa Huta's Jacek Grondzki. But to his dismay, Jacek Grondzki quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Waclaw Banach to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Stoliczne Wilki's zone, Jacek Grondzki stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mariusz Smolarek came out of the goal and Jacek Grondzki tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mariusz Smolarek made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Waclaw Banach sent off a good shot on target. Jacek Grondzki recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jacek Grondzki sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpected shot in the 73rd minute by Waclaw Banach got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. If Jacek Grondzki had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Stoliczne Wilki's Mariusz Smolarek got control of the ball when Jacek Grondzki tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 89 minutes of play, Ks Skarpa Nowa Huta's Jacek Grondzki made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mariusz Smolarek was left in no man's land by his defense there!
