Wojciech Przybylo charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Górnik Zabrze's Walery Szkarpiak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dobromir Drab in the 22nd minute of play. Dobromir Drab scored 0-1 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Walery Szkarpiak, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match had gone on for 29 minutes, Arkadiusz Furgat took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Filip Giec to make any attempt to save it. Dobromir Drab struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Walery Szkarpiak didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rohan. Walery Szkarpiak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wojciech Ruzicki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Arkadiusz Furgat to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Wojciech Przybylo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 61 minutes of play Rohan's Wojciech Przybylo was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After a rather tough play, Rohan's Wojciech Przybylo got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Górnik Zabrze's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. Rohan's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arkadiusz Furgat was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Wojciech Ruzicki's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Walery Szkarpiak read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. Korneliusz Fleszar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Filip Giec tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rohan's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
