Lucjan Kuszczak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zenon Drapinski in the 29th minute of the match. Radoslaw Ludwiczak could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Lucjan Kuszczak made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Pomorzanin Grudziądz's zone, Zenon Drapinski stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lucjan Kuszczak came out of the goal and Zenon Drapinski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Pomorzanin Grudziądz's Tolek Debkowski got a free kick in the 34th minute. Mariusz Tscherner charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mariusz Tscherner the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Pomorzanin Grudziądz's Lucjan Kuszczak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Radoslaw Ludwiczak in the 48th minute of play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mateusz Hendzel made a kick off. In the 52nd minute Mateusz Hendzel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomasz Gruchacz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zachariasz Kempski's late challenge caught a Kotten's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zachariasz Kempski helped the player get up and apologised. There was no doubt that Kotten were the better team. Kotten's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
