The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Tymoteusz Niemoj fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pomorzanin Grudziądz's protests and gave Tymoteusz Niemoj a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Pomorzanin Grudziądz getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Tymoteusz Niemoj hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgar Bendyk in the 17th minute of play forced Pomorzanin Grudziądz's goalkeeper Lucjan Kuszczak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tymoteusz Niemoj kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Lucjan Kuszczak came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by Liwoczanie's Edgar Bendyk. But to his dismay, Edgar Bendyk quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Radomil Oborski hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. In the 36th match minute, Liwoczanie was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zbyszek Wasikowski to maneuver through the defense. In the 38th minute, Mateusz Hendzel fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Pomorzanin Grudziądz's Lucjan Kuszczak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stefan Mielak in the 40th minute of play. Napoleon Pstrongowski scored 1-1 in the 43rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Boguslaw Dzerwucki, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Lucjan Kuszczak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stefan Mielak in the 46th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgar Bendyk in the 47th minute of play forced Pomorzanin Grudziądz's goalkeeper Lucjan Kuszczak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mateusz Hendzel was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Liwoczanie getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Wawrzyniec Barniszke hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Stefan Mielak got free with Lucjan Kuszczak in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 76 minutes into the match, Pomorzanin Grudziądz's goal looked a bit too open when Edgar Bendyk came free, but Lucjan Kuszczak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lucjan Kuszczak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgar Bendyk, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. After having played for 79 minutes, Stefan Mielak managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Liwoczanie's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stefan Mielak was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgar Bendyk in the 83rd minute of play forced Pomorzanin Grudziądz's goalkeeper Lucjan Kuszczak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lucjan Kuszczak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgar Bendyk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ksawery Bazan kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. If Edgar Bendyk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Liwoczanie had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
