Witalis Smuskiewicz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jakub Tyski in the 31st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jakub Tyski in the 33rd minute of play forced Stal Rzeszów's goalkeeper Witalis Smuskiewicz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 36 played minutes Sparta Brodnica got a freekick which was hit by Artur Bryk. If Dominik Czerny had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. Ryszard Gall tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Stal Rzeszów eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
