In the 11th minute Cyprian Giec shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Witomir Cetnar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ruch Radzionków's Witomir Cetnar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Ruch Radzionków from getting a goal against them. If Wojciech Michnik had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 20th minute, Ludomir Lerych hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eugeniusz Chrzan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Witomir Cetnar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. In the 33rd minute, Wojciech Michnik ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Maciej Czerny was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Ruch Radzionków's zone, Cyprian Giec stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Witomir Cetnar came out of the goal and Cyprian Giec tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 39 played minutes Rylczester got a freekick which was hit by Lukasz Grabowicz. Eugeniusz Chrzan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Witomir Cetnar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cyprian Giec in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Witomir Cetnar saved Ruch Radzionków from getting behind. The supporters of Rylczester booed when Ruch Radzionków was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ksawery Jenkot didn't get a good kick on the ball. 48 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Rylczester's Cyprian Giec fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tolek Dyczkowski stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Eugeniusz Chrzan scored 1-1 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Witomir Cetnar, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Cyprian Giec sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Szczepan Gamza kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. After 66 minutes Ruch Radzionków's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Mariusz Zdrojowy who took care of the corner kick. Mariusz Zdrojowy made a great header on Rylczester's corner, it was just that Ruch Radzionków's Witomir Cetnar managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 69th minute, Tolek Dyczkowski fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Maciej Czerny, passed just outside the right post. After 72 played minutes Rylczester got a freekick which was hit by Tanek Maciejewski. Ksawery Jenkot hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Eugeniusz Chrzan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Witomir Cetnar having to make a save. Eugeniusz Chrzan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Witomir Cetnar having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Ruch Radzionków's zone, Cyprian Giec stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Witomir Cetnar came out of the goal and Cyprian Giec tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ruch Radzionków's Witomir Cetnar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eugeniusz Chrzan in the 85th minute of play. If Cyprian Giec had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Ruch Radzionków's goalkeeper Witomir Cetnar, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Eugeniusz Chrzan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Witomir Cetnar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ruch Radzionków succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Rylczester had controlled the match.
