After 9 played minutes Ruch Radzionków got a freekick which was hit by Feliks Czempa. 12 minutes into the game, Jaroslaw Wallach was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sellnow's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ruch Radzionków the free kick. Jaroslaw Wallach kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wojciech Michnik got free with Jacek Jucha in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ksawery Jenkot's late challenge caught a Sellnow's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ksawery Jenkot helped the player get up and apologised. Ksawery Jenkot hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Tolek Dyczkowski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ruch Radzionków's Tolek Dyczkowski got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Witomir Cetnar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ludomil Tokarczyk in the 38th minute of play. After having played for 40 minutes, Ludomil Tokarczyk managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sellnow's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ludomil Tokarczyk was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tolek Dyczkowski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jacek Jucha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tolek Dyczkowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute.
If Ludomil Tokarczyk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaroslaw Wallach in the 63rd minute of play forced Ruch Radzionków's goalkeeper Witomir Cetnar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Ruch Radzionków had played much better football throughout.
