Spectators: 6699 (Terracing: 5444, Seating: 1250, VIP seats: 5) Leszek Tobaczewski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Witomir Cetnar having to interfere. In the 11th minute, Tolek Dyczkowski ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Przemyslaw Knopek was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 15th minute Wojciech Michnik shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Przemyslaw Knopek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Florian Topolski took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Witomir Cetnar. Witomir Cetnar dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After having played for 25 minutes, Leszek Tobaczewski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Modrzejów's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leszek Tobaczewski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Florian Topolski might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Witomir Cetnar. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Florian Topolski ran back to his position shaking his head. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tolek Dyczkowski in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Przemyslaw Knopek saved Modrzejów from getting behind. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind Ruch Radzionków's goalkeeper Witomir Cetnar, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Leszek Tobaczewski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Leszek Tobaczewski managed to get in a good position for a shot. Modrzejów's supporters rose to their feet, but Leszek Tobaczewski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Witomir Cetnar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ruch Radzionków's Witomir Cetnar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafal Filanowski in the 35th minute of play. 36 minutes into the match, Ruch Radzionków's goal looked a bit too open when Leszek Tobaczewski came free, but Witomir Cetnar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 38th minute, Franciszek Pincoski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leszek Tobaczewski in the 41st minute of play forced Ruch Radzionków's goalkeeper Witomir Cetnar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tolek Dyczkowski recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tolek Dyczkowski was the one to do the kick off. Ksawery Jenkot hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Przemyslaw Knopek made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wojciech Michnik in the 55th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Wojciech Michnik managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ruch Radzionków's supporters rose to their feet, but Wojciech Michnik was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Przemyslaw Knopek breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tolek Dyczkowski received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Przemyslaw Knopek came out and tried to block the shot, but Tolek Dyczkowski slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 61st minute. Leszek Tobaczewski charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leszek Tobaczewski the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 80 played minutes Modrzejów got a freekick which was hit by Leszek Tobaczewski. Ludomir Pionek's late challenge caught a Modrzejów's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ludomir Pionek helped the player get up and apologised. Ludomir Pionek hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. If Tolek Dyczkowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leszek Tobaczewski in the 95th minute of play forced Ruch Radzionków's goalkeeper Witomir Cetnar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Ruch Radzionków supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Ruch Radzionków would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
