Eugeniusz Sienkowski was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The Zarzeczany fans' excitement grew in the 9th match minute when Zarzeczany's Gilbert Poniewaz looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Olaf Pracki took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Boleslaw Absolwent, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 17 minutes, Gilbert Poniewaz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Zarzeczany's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gilbert Poniewaz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the Cietusza defense, Karol Dobilas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eugeniusz Sienkowski. The Cietusza fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eugeniusz Sienkowski should have stopped the shot. In the 33rd minute of the match, Roman Poniewaz got a very nice opportunity to score, but Olaf Pracki was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. If Karol Dobilas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Cietusza players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Zarzeczany were winning 0-3.

Karol Dobilas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Eugeniusz Sienkowski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cietusza's Eugeniusz Sienkowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilbert Poniewaz in the 56th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Gilbert Poniewaz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zarzeczany's supporters rose to their feet, but Gilbert Poniewaz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eugeniusz Sienkowski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 60th play minute Karol Dobilas came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Eugeniusz Sienkowski. 0-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roman Poniewaz in the 65th minute of play forced Zarzeczany's goalkeeper Olaf Pracki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eugeniusz Sienkowski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilbert Poniewaz, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. If Boleslaw Absolwent had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gilbert Poniewaz might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eugeniusz Sienkowski. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Olaf Pracki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zbigniew Leper in the 84th minute of play. Karol Dobilas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Eugeniusz Sienkowski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eugeniusz Sienkowski was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Gilbert Poniewaz showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-6 in the 90 minute of play.
