Jan Smolarek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jan Smolarek in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leszek Kochanowicz saved Polakowice SSA from getting behind. The supporters of Pilichowo SSA booed when Polakowice SSA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wawrzyniec Filipkowski didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jan Smolarek was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 16th minute. Pilichowo SSA's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jan Smolarek in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leszek Kochanowicz saved Polakowice SSA from getting behind. Leszek Kochanowicz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jan Smolarek, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leszek Kochanowicz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jan Smolarek, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. If Grzegorz Zbytniewski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Jan Smolarek kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Leszek Kochanowicz. That made the score 1-0 in the 34 minute of play. 38 minutes into the match, Polakowice SSA's goalkeeper Leszek Kochanowicz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Grzegorz Zbytniewski. If Grzegorz Zbytniewski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jan Smolarek received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Leszek Kochanowicz came out and tried to block the shot, but Jan Smolarek slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 45th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Jan Smolarek in the 52nd minute of play forced Polakowice SSA's goalkeeper Leszek Kochanowicz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Polakowice SSA's zone, Grzegorz Zbytniewski stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leszek Kochanowicz came out of the goal and Grzegorz Zbytniewski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 55 played minutes Polakowice SSA got a freekick which was hit by Korneliusz Sitko. Leszek Kochanowicz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Grzegorz Zbytniewski, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Leszek Kochanowicz came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by Pilichowo SSA's Jan Smolarek. But to his dismay, Jan Smolarek quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Leszek Kochanowicz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Grzegorz Zbytniewski in the 75th minute of play. Bartosz Ziomkowski hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Jan Smolarek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Leszek Kochanowicz came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Pilichowo SSA's Jan Smolarek. But to his dismay, Jan Smolarek quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. In the 96th minute of the match Pilichowo SSA got a corner. Polakowice SSA's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jaroslaw Gmoch ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Jaroslaw Gmoch almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Polakowice SSA's Leszek Kochanowicz did a great save. There was no doubt that Pilichowo SSA were the better team. Pilichowo SSA's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
